The rumors never quite faded as Aldrik’s mother died during childbirth. The short period of time between the announcement of pregnancy and the wedding, as well as the pace to which the wedding was conducted, led to rumors of Aldrik being conceived out of wedlock at best, illegitimate at worst.

So it should come as no surprise that Fire Falling has been a high anticipated release for me since I finished Air Awakens.
Everything about this book exceeded my wildest expectations. The plot is riveting, the characters are infinitely complex, and the world-building is spectacular.
